New Jersey is listening….as of late yesterday charges have been upgraded in the case of Patrick, the starved 1-year- old Pit Bull.  He was kept tethered in the hallway of a large 550 unit complex for long periods of time without food or water. The initial charges carried a maximum of six months in jail and $1,000 fine.  The new charges according to the New Jersey Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals is now a fourth degree criminal charge carrying a maximum of 18 months in jail and $3,000 fine. It’s still not as severe as I would like to see but at least it’s progress.  Hopefully it carries a message to the likes of Michael Vick and Kisha Curtis, that we will not tolerate such abuses without fighting for the rights of those who can not fight.

We will see when Kisha Curtis emerges from jail after serving her sentence, if she is accepted back into society as eagerly as those who have accepted Michael Vick.  Michael Vick can throw a football and make owners and fantasy football fans lots of money, so he is deemed redeemable and adored by Mayors of large cities, Presidents, and coaches…past and present.  Kisha Curtis will be most likely coming back to the porn industry.  Not nearly as glamorous as the grid-iron, so her entry back into society will be less welcomed…

How unlucky for her….how lucky for Michael Vick.

  1. may she rot in hell..

  2. Well I am glad it was increased, wonder if they could give her one count for starvation and one count for putting him down the chute, that would be even better. I hope she gets what she deserves in jail.
