ANOTHER “PATRICK” HAS BEEN RESCUED

Her name is Cindy… and she was discarded like a piece of trash in Far Rockaway, NY.  The skeletal Pit Bull pup was discovered near a small grocery store.  It’s hard to say how many people walked right past her before a kind soul finally spotted her and notified Christine Drakatos.  Drakatos is a dog rescuer and she quickly went into action.

Cindy was quickly transported to a veterinarian Hospital where she is struggling for her life.  IV’s and medications may heal her physically, but once again…we will see if a neglected tortured canine companion can learn to forgive and give our species a second chance.

Patrick’s story captured out hearts immediately and his story went viral faster than a “guy getting hit in the gnads.”  We fell in love with his soft brown eyes and his struggle for survival.  But thousands of Patricks around the country are found everyday.  Some are given a second chance for survival…and others are discarded quickly as just another stray dog.

Maybe it’s because Patrick’s story has a villan…and the villan has a face.  Mean Kisha Curtis with the plump face and Facebook page was plastered across the news networks.  We could read her profile and see what “friends” she had. We had an instant look into her pathetic life. Her “initial” story was she couldn’t afford to feed Patrick…but her plump (ok..I’m just going to say it…her “fat” face) looked back at us and it was obvious Curtis was lying.

Most of the time we don’t get to see the villan…we probably won’t know what “Michael Vick dog torturer” wannabe starved and tortured Cindy…but her story is just as important.

For those wanting to contribute to Cindy’s care may do so at: nyanimalrescue@yahoo.com.  Or you may mail a donation to Sean Casey Animal Rescue, 153rd E 3rd Brooklyn, NY 11218.

Just as important as the donations… are the thoughts and prayers Cindy needs to find the strength to keep on fightin the fight.

Fight on little girl…Fight on.

  1. Best wishes that she gets the medical attention she needs and a safe new forever home.

  2. So sorry to see this. In our area, we’ve seen several emaciated pit bulls and a boxer dropped off at the shelter. Don’t people have any heart at all?

I’m dropping by the pet blog hop today – stop by to see the gorilla at the Calgary Zoo enjoying a little fun: http://www.pet-peeves.org/2011/06/25/calgary-zoos-breakdancing-gorilla/

  3. All my love and hope goes to Cindy. I will never understand how people do this. I hope someday I can help prevent it from happening…
